On January 25, 2022, the City Council adopted the Sixth (6th) Cycle Housing Element. A copy was provided to the California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) for review pursuant to Government Code section 65585, subdivision (h). HCD provided comments back to the City.
Subsequently, Staff and the City’s housing consultant drafted revisions to the Housing Element to address all statutory requirements of State Housing Element Law noted in HCD’s letter. Amendments were made to the body of the Housing Element, Appendix C: Constraints and Zoning Analysis, Appendix D: Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing Analysis, and Appendix E: Sites Analysis and Inventory. All amendments are shown in “Track Changes” in the attached Housing Element and Appendices C, D, and E. Appendices A, B, and F are not attached as there are no proposed changes to these.
